You have value to God.  He gave His life, what more could He give?  The church is the object of His love and power.  And He has chosen to work through His church to win the world.  He condescended to indwell imperfect, fragmented people to show His glory.  If He loved the church enough to die for it, how much then should we love His people on whom He has set His affection?

II Corinthians 2:15 gives us a picture of our lives becoming a sweet fragrance (like incense) in and through a relationship with Jesus Christ.  We are here to attract others to Christ and to point the way to a relationship with Him, all so that God is glorified.  It is crucial that we take on the character of Christ in such a manner as to give off this sweet, attractive aroma that draws people to God by communicating to them their value to God.
